In the Studio: With Heidi from Indiana Sun Jewellery. A personal branding, documentary photo session in Bournemouth, Dorset.

I’ve been so excited to share this recent personal branding session after having the the privilege of meeting Heidi, the creator and owner, behind the beautiful brand Indiana Sun Jewellery. Together, we documented her ‘behind the scenes’ creative process as the February light kindly streamed in through the windows of her garden studio.

It was simply wonderful.

Heidi's pieces are handcrafted in gold and silver, and adorned with healing crystals. Each creation is intentionally made with her passion for uniting the creativity and beauty of the natural world. The brand is deep rooted in her connection to the shifting seasons, ancient myths and legends, and the timeless wisdom of the cosmos.

This craft is more than just jewellery making; it’s grounded in love and meaning.

I observed Heidi as she meticulously and skill-fully soldered, hammered, sawed, and carved wax into her intricate designs. One particular piece that caught my eye was a delicate mermaid, almost ready to be cast. It is a testament to Heidi's craftsmanship, her eye for detail and ability to intertwine storytelling into the existence of her creations.

During our time together, I had the pleasure of connecting with Heidi on a personal level, and I enjoyed listening to the stories behind her work and the journey that led her to where she is today. Her gentle, down to earth nature made our collaboration such an effortless and enjoyable experience.

I’m drawn to capturing people as authentically as possible and using documentary photography for personal branding is a beautiful way to show your audience the woman behind the business, in a gentle, honest way. Through candid moments and genuine interactions, we are able to capture the essence of your craft and the spirit of your brand.
